6:00 am →. September 1, 2012 · 1:35 pm. What’s in a name? When I was born, so I am told, my name was going to be Marcia Ruth. Instead, my father convinced my mom at the last minute to name me Wendy Dawn. Haha, get it? Like a “windy dawn.” Parents always have the most bizarre senses of humor. I have never thought much about it until today. Suddenly it is as if my name and my life have collided. Today, my dawn is windy. It is overcast and closer to foggy. I am 6 months pregnant with a gift from my God.

At first I was mildly annoyed; then I just smiled thinking of all the early mornings to come. Her activity is a sign of health and for that I am truly grateful.
