Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Rakim's Buffalo
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2013/10/rakims-buffalo.html
Friday, October 11, 2013. The Special Scratch version, and even the song "Hobo Scratch" itself made liberal use of "Buffalo Gals.". On The World's Famous Supreme Team. S classic "Hey DJ" Divine. Sings the chorus to "Buffalo Gals" until Just. Stops his partner, saying, "no, no, no! See, man, That's our last record. That's already been a hit! How ironic; they clearly had no idea what was in McLaren's future. He featured it on his main album Duck Rock. He made "Buffalo Gals II (Remix).". But if you want to ...

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Blowing the Dust Off Mr. Voodoo's Long-Lost Demos
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2015/07/blowing-dust-off-mr-voodoos-long-lost.html
Friday, July 3, 2015. Blowing the Dust Off Mr. Voodoo's Long-Lost Demos. Chopped Herring is back with their, umm. fourth? Wait, let me count. One. And now four. Yup, their fourth Natural Elements. This time around, though, it's focused on just one member. They've uncovered, cleaned up and pressed Mr. Voodoo. S 1994-1995 demos on wax. And the answer is yep, pretty much! So do we want to get into this song by individual song? Of course we're going to break this down song by song! New York Straight Talk" -.

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Natural Elements, Old To the NEw
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2014/04/natural-elements-old-to-new.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Natural Elements, Old To the NEw. Chopped Herring, I think I love you. Continuing their divinely inspired partnership with the Natural Elements. Crew, they've now dropped their third jewel-laden Elements EP. Thus one's called All Hail NE. And it's noteworthy because it's mostly new material, though they still manage to maintain their tradition of getting NE's classic material still desperately in need of a proper vinyl transfer onto wax too. So, what have we got exactly? This on...

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Natural Elements Demos Unreleased No More!
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2012/10/natural-elements-demos-unreleased-no.html
Friday, October 19, 2012. Natural Elements Demos Unreleased No More! It's time to get excited, Natural Elements. Again Because Chopped Herring Records has just (finally) come out with their follow-up to last year's amazing Lost Demos. Called Lost Demos and Instrumentals. So, I won't say much more about the instrumentals. You can already read about the full songs in my post on the Lost Demos. EP I'll just clarify that the instrumental version of "Life Ain't Fair" is the harder version from the Lost Demos.

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: From DJ To Goddess: An Interview With Wanda Dee
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2008/10/from-dj-to-goddess-interview-with-wanda.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. From DJ To Goddess: An Interview With Wanda Dee. I'm pretty sure Wanda Dee. Is the only one. When did you first see/hear a hip-hop show or record? Right outside my window on 194th Street and Marion Avenue in The Bronx. After all, The Bronx was and is THE birth place of Hip Hop. So I didn't have to go far to find it. And how did you go from being a fan who wanted to be a part of it to actually being a part of Bam's crew? The Bronx River Zulu Anniversary Party. A fabrication conti...

White) vinyl, and 150 on traditional black.

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Writing E Money Bags Back Into History
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2012/09/writing-e-money-bags-back-into-history.html
Thursday, September 13, 2012. Writing E Money Bags Back Into History. Early in 50 Cent. I only know who the last name on that list is: E Money Bags. E Money Bags was the rap alias of Eric Smith, who released his self-titled album in 1999 on the indie Grand Imperial label. He was from Hollis, Queens, and worked with the biggest Queens cats, including Nas. He was also down with The Live Squad. Who you should remember from the BQ In Full Effect. EP that started off Percee-P. Featuring "Kool G" ( Kool G Rap.

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: Who Is the Queen of Ghetto Madness?
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2015/07/who-is-queen-of-ghetto-madness.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. Who Is the Queen of Ghetto Madness? The Queen of Ghetto Madness. Has to be one of the best rapper names in Hip-Hop history. And fortunately, she lives up to it. Plus, she's from Jersey, so bonus. And If you're just causally searching, it may seem like she only had the one 12", but there's actually more to her story. But let's start with the obvious 12". Produced the Poor Righteous Teachers. So the first song is "Run the Rhythm," which is pretty decent, our Queen certainly comes off...

Werner von Wallenrod's Humble, Little Hip-Hop Blog: The Great Peso Is Back
http://wernervonwallenrod.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-great-peso-is-back.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. The Great Peso Is Back. Maybe you remember a couple years ago, I talked about. A new record by an old school guy named Chain 3. Which featured The Great Peso. Of The Fearless Four. Now, Peso had done a couple things since those disco-era Fearless Four records. he had that single with Mr. Nasty. But it's basically been an awfully long time since we'd heard from the man musically. But thanks to a reader named Matt. I've just found out he's actually been pretty active on that front.
