For a dinner party a few weeks ago, I finally created two perfect loaves of bread. Wholesome and delicious, not too fluffy or too dense. This page is going to be a catchall inspiration place for the book my mother and I are working on. It is a children's pop-up book entitled "Where is Sava's Shoe? Mom came up with the concept after finding it very funny that my own daughter has the same challenges I had as a kid. I am doing the illustrations. I am deep in sketching phase, but wanted to post some of my original photoshop collage springboard ideas. Sketches to come as soon as I can get around to scanning them. But it has been so much fun!

Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Giving back to the birds. Sava, Maddison (our new roommate) and I had so much fun yesterday making bird seed pinecones! We rolled the pinecones in peanut butter and bird seeds and hung them from the trees in the backyard. Sava had fun yelling "come out, come out wherever you are! To the birdies. Of course I took a video. It is so cold out there! Sava made sure to hang a couple down low for the poor flightless ones. No sign of the birds eating on them yet. Subscribe to my blog.
