12:1 Adventures: December 2014
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Today as I sat with my big kids at the beach and reflected over the year and this upcoming change, I was overwhelmed with the roar of the waves. Somehow over the past 2 years I have started to take for granted their beautiful hum in my ears. Funny how when you are faced with losing something, you remember how dear it is to you. What if we stopped praying (listening) and the silence was painfully deafening? Thursday, December 25, 2014. Yes, let us cel...

12:1 Adventures: May 2015
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Saturday, May 9, 2015. Finding the romance in getting older and being a mom. This mother's day will be my 39th birthday! Wow, was it just 10 years ago that I was turning 29 while on vacation in Hawaii and claiming that having a birthday on the islands makes one young forever? Hummm, well that was a fun thought; however, I do feel 10 years OLDER. Time has marched on for sure. Many women come here to escape poverty and harsh conditions in their home countries only to find that th...

12:1 Adventures: January 2015
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. January for many we know is the month for ski trips and layered clothing or resigning themselves to indoor sports. For us in the UAE, this is the time to get out.check out the parks, have picnics, go for a walk, etc. Who would have thought that these lessons would have been something that we would carry with us overseas? However the process of learning, training, and discipling is going much the same. And he removed from there to a mountain on the east...

12:1 Adventures: September 2013
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Monday, September 23, 2013. God is ALWAYS the Subject. I heard somewhere along the way that the Bible is a "love story" for us. I do believe that is true, but recently I have been wondering if I have placed too much emphasis on the "for us" part. The Bible is. That is a complete sentence. The "for us" is simply a prepositional phrase. Conceivably, in doing this I will learn more deeply how I can apply His Word to myself. Father, I ask that you be the Subject always in my life!

12:1 Adventures: His Love in Our Perfection
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2015/03/his-love-in-our-perfection.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Monday, March 2, 2015. His Love in Our Perfection. My first thoughts were, "How noble! Why is it that as followers of Jehovah God we place an importance on being perfect? Are we disrespecting God? Christ tells us in the Sermon on the Mount,. 8220;Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.". You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.". So what does this mean? Is Jesus setting us up to offend our Heavenly Father?

Here is a portion of a devotional that I read recently:. John 2:9-10 says,. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, 'Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.'". 12:1 Adventures: His Provision
http://travisteam.blogspot.com/2015/04/his-provision.html
Wherever He leads I'll go. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Don't try to comfort me by saying it's a dry heat - whatever that means - this is not Arizona.it is the Arab PENINSULA.the humidity intensity is real people! However, today as I went to check on the growth of our newest additions to the Travis Pigeon Hooch, I was reminded of God's faithfulness. Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Wherever He leads I'll go. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Where have we been? The short answer is: around the world and back. :). Next question: Where did the year go? Isn't that something old people ask? Well, I am feeling it! All of you know by now that last fall we began an adoption journey in Ethiopia. This time last year, we had met our son, Micah, and daughter, Hope. We were busy with holiday preparations to complete the adoption within the month and head to Texas for much celebration. So Here we go:.
