West Coast Paddler - Where do the stories come from?

http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/html/where.htm

Where do the stories come from? For the most part, the stories and trip reports in the Paddling Locations Gallery come from around the areas in which we reside - primarily, the Vancouver/Fraser Valley and the southern Vancouver Island regions. Some of the stories are about salt water paddling, others are based on river and lake destinations. We're quite pleased and very fortunate to have such a diverse selection of choices for paddlers in British Columbia. For now, we're primarily concerned with paddling...

West Coast Paddler - When is this site updated?

http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/html/when.htm

When is this site updated? We try to get out paddling at every available opportunity. As we venture to new areas, we'll take photographs, write editorials, and update the site with new Paddling Locations stories. We will also do our best to document any accessories that we build or any modifications that we make to our boats and equipmment. Having said this, we welcome your comments about this site and if you have suggestions or ideas about areas that we should cover, please let us know.

West Coast Paddler - Why does this site exist?

http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/html/why.htm

Why does this site exist? This site is done just for fun. We do it because we like to and that's the only reason. It's not a job, it's not a business, it's not even an obligation. It's more like a hobby - a hobby that hopefully will provide some content that you'll find entertaining and informative. Always exploring and looking for new paddling locations, we realized that we've taken thousands of photos on numerous paddling trips - this website would be a perfect way to show other paddlers some of the gr...

Welcome to WestCoastPaddler.com! This site is about exploring the waters of our planet in a sea kayak. Looking for places to paddle? In our Paddling Locations Gallery. Of a few of our favourite photographs. We really like building things that make our lives easier or more interesting. Thursday, 13 February 2014. Deep Freeze almost here! Well this year's Deep Freeze camping trip is about to begin! This will be our 13th annual trip and the folks will begin to arrive Friday night for a Saturday morning haul into camp on Sideburn Lk. about an hour's drive north of Sudbury. Joe and I made a quick trip into the camp last Sunday to set a trail and to brush out the trail through the lowland swale on the route from Hwy 144 into Sideburn Lk. Should make things much easier come Saturday! Ralph K...

canoedog: The Old Canoe

http://www.canoedog.ca/2014/04/the-old-canoe.html

Tuesday, 8 April 2014. My seams gape wide so I’m tossed aside. To rot on a lonely shore. While the leaves and mould like a shroud enfold,. For the last of my trails are o’er;. But I float in dreams on Northland streams. That never again I’ll see,. As I lie on the marge of the old portage. With grief for company. When the sunset gilds the timbered hills. That guard Timagami,. And the moonbeams play on far James Bay. By the brink of the frozen sea,. In phantom guise my Spirit flies. On the Lady Evelyn,.

Tallahassee Kayaking and Geocaching. A site for a guy in North Florida to talk about kayaking and geocaching. Saturday, April 30, 2005. So, Friday morning, even though the weather reports say it is going to be storming with severe thunderstorms by 8am Saturday, I go to The Wilderness Way. And rent a Wilderness system Pungo 120 for the trip. However, Friday evening, I got a call from the trip planner, understandably cancelling the trip. This is the forecast for earlier this morning and this evening:.

A few days ago, Shelby and I went out geocaching. We had four we wanted to do but only made it to three. We found all three, though, and they were all nice caches, each offering soemthing different. Sam and Dad's Self-propelled Adventures. February 8, 2010. My Dad finished the coaming and it looks great. It has hardened enough so that we can now pull it off. Next dad and I removed all the tape and plastic on the kayak. This is what the coaming looks like. We will have sand it smooth and then permanently glue it to the riser strips. Laquo; Kayak Build. Now I get your posts in my email so I know I can come see something new! On February 9, 2010. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Kayak Build | Self-propelled Fun

https://selfpropelledfun.wordpress.com/2010/03/16/kayak-build-11

Sam and Dad's Self-propelled Adventures. March 16, 2010. Yesterday my dad and I completed a major step on my kayak; we glued the deck to the hull! First, I had to put thickened epoxy on the shearclamp attached to the hull. Dad put more epoxy on the underside of the deck. Then came the big moment, dad picked up the deck and we placed it on the hull! My dad and I clamped the two halves together with straps. Hey, my kayak has a new friend! Laquo; Kayak Build.
