Yesterday a cute conversation took place in the back seat of the car between Evi and Isaac, who were sitting right next to each other. Evi, are you brown? Why are you brown? Because that's what I'm supposed to be.". Then Isaac said, "Mom, is Evi Brown? I said, "Evi is a mix of different colors so she's a beautiful light brown.". The conversation continued between Evi and Isaac. Evi, are you a beautiful light brown?

It takes 20 hours so we chose to fly. The kids loved the flight (once we finally took off - major delays). We arrive in time for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The blossoms were beautiful. Around the Potomac River Basin/Jefferson Memorial the blossoms were spectacular. Air and Space Museum. National Museum of Art.

Friday, September 4, 2009. Mmm, mmm good! So I was at the gym this morning running on a treadmill and on the far right T.V. screen I see a commercial for food (somewhere around mid commercial). There were small cuts of meat, displayed one at a time, arranged on plates and surrounded by parsley, etc. Now, I am currently on a modified form of the South Beach Diet for better blood sugar control, and I thought to myself, "That looks good, and the portion sizes are right, too! We started taking them to the people we visit and home teach and also to our dearest friends here, and a funny thing happened. I felt the Christmas spirit! Tables and remembered that the last time I did that was for Katie and her family on Christmas of 2006, but my hurt ebbed as I answered the door and founds friends waiting.
