Family Fishing and Diving Competition at Whangarei Heads. Funky fishing starts with the fishing and then come the Weigh-In, family activities, food and our unique auction at the beautiful Whangarei Heads School. Weigh-In opens at Whangarei Heads School (between McLeod Bay and Taurikura). When parking please take extra care to look out for children. Opening time for Children’s Activities and Food Stalls at the Weigh-In. There is no licensed bar this year instead we are a BYO event. 400 pm (approx.).

Family Fishing and Diving Competition at Whangarei Heads. Anglers 15 years and under are eligible for the Junior category. Anglers 16 years and over are eligible for the Senior category. Whangarei Harbour and between Kauri Mountain, Hen and Chicks and Bream Tail. Start and End Times. Fishing starts at 6.00am on the day of the competition. Fish must be weighed in at Whangarei Heads School between 12 noon and 3.30 pm. All persons in fishing party must have a ticket. No more than two hooks per line. Whangar...
