ApertureLads: November 2011
http://aperturelads.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 28, 2011. Way to add light rays. To any photograph in almost ANY photo-editor. Also works for video). Create basic shape for the light ray. I see a face. Adding multiple copies of the same ray over and over in different spots of the picture to get a nice look. (change the blending mode to "add" so make the black go away.). This is a darker look to emphasize the rays. Without the picture below this is what my rays ended up looking like. I did not take this picture. Its just a for fun thin...

Is a technique in photography where 3 (or more) pictures are taken of the same subject with DIFFERENT Exposure values. Set the camera to " M. The thingy circled in green is the exposure menue, select it and roll the dial on the top o...

ApertureLads: From Flat to Finished
http://aperturelads.blogspot.com/2012/04/from-flat-to-finished.html
Monday, April 23, 2012. From Flat to Finished. Any photographer who calls themselves a "pro" understands that the image the camera takes when you press the shutter button, is NOTHING like the final image. Its called shooting flat. The initial image is really dull, grey and the colors just don't shine at all. What does this accomplish besides a crappy looking image? Take this for example:. This is my original photo on this weird looking flower thingy? As you can see very dull and lifeless. Now for those w...

Thursday, December 15, 2011. Dynamic Lighting - Moody Flowers. Short - Sweet - To the Point! Is lighting where there is ONE definitive, bold, light source that creates an uneven lighting contrast of bright brights and dark shadows. This isn't the harshest of lighting conditions, but it still emphasizes detail in the flower as well as in the cloth. Window as dynamic light source. The main light source for the first picture. Monday, June 25, 2012. Well I gave it a shot (get it). but I'm no pro. YEAH IT ALWAYS LOOK BETTER IN PICTURES THAN IN REAL LIFE. I removed the bun crack, brightened the colors and added a Gluttony. In the background for comedic effect. You can see how moody this burger looks when you do the same editing to it as above. ewww so sad. So I didn't have a second reflector. Whatever. I used something! Its my mothers shopping bag! My main source of light was the window. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Anime...
