A night like this. What makes a great state song →. June 24, 2011 · 3:55 am. Something to bore me too sleep. Four-fifteen in the morning and I’m lying in bed, staring up, barely able to make out the popcorn bumps in the ceiling. I could only guess how long I’ve been staring up there. Last I looked at the clock radio, it was just after three. I was awake like this the night before, same early hour. And the night before that. And any number of nights before that. That would only wake up the husband. I leav...

Something to bore me too sleep →. June 3, 2011 · 3:00 am. A night like this. The leaves on the bushes haven’t moved for the longest time; the air is so still. A choir of frogs croak around the yard and cicadas crick their replies. Nights like this make me wonder why anyone would want to be inside. What makes nights like this so precious is how easily nights like this could go wrong. How easily could the air swirl and blow away any sense of stillness? Why must I ask? Something to bore me too sleep →.

Seriously Silly
An very infrequent, very silly series of posts about my life. Thursday, February 5, 2015. A Fairly New Fandom (Semi-Guest Post starring Emery). Today I finally got hold of my dear Emery for a chat about a certain Detective. No, it’s not Sherlock. *gasp* He’s actually Irish. And dead. He is technically dead. (Wait so was Sherlock). We basically are asking a bunch of questions and answering them. That’s not weird at all. Emery is in this lovely plum-colour :D. And I am in black. Or very dark grey. The four...
