Maplewood and had a great time. They are doing construction at the Shuksan Middle School so it looked like the park was closed but it was actually fenced around it. A Playground Adventure of Whatcom County. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Bloedel Donovan Park Lake Whatcom. Donovan Park is such a great place. It is located on Lake Whatcom. Off of Electric Ave and has plenty for the whole family to do. We explored the park early on a weekday and it was quite empty except for people and their dogs. Their wasn't a single person in the playground or at the boat launch but I am sure as the day goes by it fills up quickly. Donovan park is another great treasure to Whatcom.
