https://whatedsaid.wordpress.com/2012/06/11/10-tips-for-workshop-presenters-any-teachers
A blog about learning. June 11, 2012. I once spent a whole day in a professional development workshop for second language teachers and I learned how to make a fold-up book. That’s all. Nothing else. 1 Speak in your own voice. Be genuine and natural. Don’t use a ‘presenter voice’. 2 Don’t speak too much. As lovely as you might sound, less is more. Keep it simple. Get to the point. 3 Share your passion. Be sensitive to your audience. Have they tuned out? Are they checking their email? Have a sense of humour.

Essential agreement… – What Ed Said
https://whatedsaid.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/essential-agreement
A blog about learning. February 1, 2010. February 1, 2010. In a PYP school, every working group (teachers or students) starts off by creating an ‘essential agreement’. In the classroom, this means that, rather than teachers imposing rules, everyone works collaboratively to establish an agreement of how the class will function. Today Jocelyn and I developed our class. We started by asking the children to consider carefully and then write down. What helps them learn. What hinders their learning. Using a Wo...

Saturday, June 22, 2013. How many times do I have to tell you? The hamper, not in front of. If you don't pick up your books they might get peed on or the baby might eat them, or worse, both.
