What Remains of the Day. Meanderings through journeys past, present. and future. Monday, April 19, 2010. It lurks in the back of my closet, waiting to pounce when I happen to be looking for a pair of shoes, a meandering sock, or the bag with an item I am taking back to the store. I’ve told myself many times that I do not need to be slave to this demon, that I am a strong, intelligent, healthy person….and people like me! Its benevolent nod can affect the feeling of looseness in clothing, the ability to fo...

What Remains of the Day: SPRUNG!

http://www.whatremainsoftheday-llz.blogspot.com/2010/04/sprung.html

What Remains of the Day. Meanderings through journeys past, present. and future. Thursday, April 8, 2010. This morning as I was pouring coffee, letting the cat out, and raising blinds, I found myself humming a little tune, talking cheerfully to inanimate objects as I moved through my routine. Suddenly, I was chortling to myself as I opened the front door. How is it that every atom of creation moves in synchronicity with how the rhythms of our life ebb and flo? April 9, 2010 at 8:54 AM. Musings from Missouri: March 2011

http://musingsfrommissouri.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 24, 2011. All in a Week. Sometimes I find myself still surprised by how much happens in just a weeks time. Not that it's anything dramatic, or that our schedule outside the home is overly full, I think our boys are just a busy bunch. We now have a new pet snail. He was found in a bunch of kale, somewhat smashed, with half his shell missing. Aaron could not bear to throw him out, "He's hurt! We have to take care of him! We enjoyed a weekend full of incredible spring weather! Aaron started s...

Friday, December 31, 2010. We are taking the Christmas decorations down today and stashing them away under the stairs in the basement. Musings from Missouri: Aforementioned Fatness

http://musingsfrommissouri.blogspot.com/2013/02/aforementioned-fatness.html

Monday, February 4, 2013. I probably shouldn't post when I'm a grump. But I definitely feel more like writing when I'm down than when I'm up. And writing is one of my latest resolutions, as it usually seems to provide both challenge and relief for me, and I like both of those feelings. A tad dramatic, after only a month of commitment to my health. (which follows about 13 years of on-again off-again commitments to my health). After only a few weeks on a new eating and overall health improvement plan my mi...

Musings from Missouri: Current Family Discussion

http://musingsfrommissouri.blogspot.com/2013/03/current-family-discussion.html

Friday, March 15, 2013. Right after I posted my last blog a month ago Henri was sick for a week, then I was sick with the genuine Influenza for almost two weeks. In that time we also had four snow days! I always love a good snow day. It took us a while after all that to feel back to normal. For me, for us, it feels worth the struggle to figure it out. To keep trying, sometimes poorly, sometimes with a successful balance, to live a part of our life outside of ourselves. Posted by Anna Casey.

We celebrated Henri's first birthday this past month and it's just shocking that it's been a year already since he entered our world. Just look at this gorgeous one year old! If you'll look, you'll see this picture captures quite a bit of who he is. My sweet baby boy. Sigh. Posted by Anna Casey.

Creativity, Crafts, Books, Movies, Greyhounds and Favorite Things. Kind is Kool Challenge. This year, I’m doing a weekly post about food because I want to eat better. I like to eat, but that’s the only thing I like to do with regards to food. I don’t like buying it. I don’t like thinking about it. I don’t like preparing it. Improving my relationship with food will be a challenge. Posted by lori . Filed under What's To Eat. A New Year, A New Schedule. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! A post with a prett...

Engage him, look him in the eye, and you’ll see a rare kindness in his spirit. You’ll also see a rare passion. It’s a passion that he’s had for over 15 years – creating light electric vehicles, more specifically Jeinkel-Heimer Bicycle Sidecars. And, what remains to be seen, is what he’ll do next.
