Police were called to an address in Bramcote Drive, Beeston, on Monday evening May 17th, after three men were disturbed trying to break into a car. The incident occurred at 10pm and the owner of the vehicle who confronted the men was hit with an iron bar. The men then ran off towards Wollaton Road. Beeston chef Paul Shaw has been invited back on to BBCs Masterchef. Paul, 53, narrowly missed out on making it through to the next round last year. The programme can be seen on BBC1 on March 25th, when he cooks duck in plum sauce with noodles for judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode. Artwork by people in the Lenton area will go on display at a gallery which is to be created in the Church Square shopping precinct.
