After I started talking to Janice, she took me down...

The Wool Cupboard: A Rug Hooker's Perogitive...Right?
http://thewoolcupboard.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-rug-hookers-perogitiveright.html
Monday, February 2, 2015. A Rug Hooker's Perogitive.Right? As I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to crochet an edge on my latest finished rug. After trying several inches of crochet, it just did not suit this rug, in my opinion. After a trip to a wonderful local yarn shop to find wool yarn to whip the border, I left empty handed! This shop has lots of beautiful wool yarns, but none of them seem to be the right color! I think I like it. Posted by The Wool Cupboard. February 2, 2015 at 9:23 AM. Radar de...

The Wool Cupboard: New Rug Finish and More
http://thewoolcupboard.blogspot.com/2015/05/new-rug-finish-and-more.html
Saturday, May 23, 2015. New Rug Finish and More. I've been hooking a rug from Designs in Wool and finally finished the hooking this week. Now I'm only about 10 rugs behind! This one is hooked in 3/8" cut, from as found and over-dyed wools. I like the way it turned out and really love this pattern! This is what we do in our rug group, "Wool Ewe Join Us Rug Hookers." We hook some and talk a lot! Anyway, it was a fun project.and very useful. This primitive rabbit was so cute, I couldn't pass it up. I went t...

The Wool Cupboard: Two New Finishes!
http://thewoolcupboard.blogspot.com/2015/03/two-new-finishes.html
Saturday, March 7, 2015. I recently purchased a little antique stool from a favorite antique shop. I LOVE the little cubby shelf open on one side only! I knew right away that it would be perfect for a small hooked rug on the top. Here is the finished project. (Sorry, I can't seem to take clear pictures anymore.time for a new camera? I really like the finished result. The rug measures 8 1/2" X 13" and is hooked in a 3/8" wide cut. I used worms left over from previously hooked rugs.yay! Have a great weekend.

Frakturs by k.a.s. Kelsey A. Smith, Fraktur Artist. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. For those of you who follow my mom’s blog, rebekahlsmith.blogspot.com. You will know that she recently went to Iowa to teach a wool appliqué workshop at Wheaten Woolens. I went along as a helper, in exchange for bringing a few things with me to sell. It was an adventure, to be sure, in more than one way. I designed my own piece using frakturs as inspiration. It just came out that way! And now I am hooked! Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
