Sunday, January 10, 2010. Slade's 5th b-day party! We celebrated Slade's 5th b-day at Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler's home. They were so awesome to let us use their house. Slade invited all the boys from his pre-school class to his party ( 12. Boys) and they ALL. There aren't any girls in his class, so it was extra fun to plan all boy activities. Sunday, January 10, 2010. Slade is quite the little monkey these days, but he's still got his mommy wrapped around his little finger. I'm not sure if it's the fact that he's the baby, or my only boy, but he is very adored and never lacking for attention around here. This little guy can drive me absolutely crazy and warm my heart 'til it melts, ALL IN THE SAME DAY! He is definately growing up way too fast! He is in pre-school now, and will start kindergarten in the Fall. Where does the time go? Motherhood...

My mother in law created these large fabric flowers to adorn the posts and add some color. And of course we used more of the adorable bunting. For drinks, our Aunt Linda commissioned this awesome lemonade stand. We had berry lemonade served in handled mason jars with daisy lids and striped paper straws.doesn't get much cuter than that! It's the season that Arizona changes from a hot and miserable desert to a dreamy, perfect weather state with fun activities abound. Last week some friends and I decided to take our kiddos out to Schnepf Farms to really get into the fall spirit and enjoy the nice weather. As if the rest of the wedding wasn't cute enough already, all of the tables were set up under large oleanders and citrus trees full of hanging jars full of candles and over 100 chairs were thrifted or borrowed to add a homey touch. All of the chairs were either painted, re-upholstered or adorned with pretty ribbons and lace. The picture is the Bride's great great grandparents on their wedding day! All of this fun stuff came from my mom's collection.
