Tuesday, November 16, 2010. We took a trip down to AZ a little while ago to attend Jared's grandma's funeral. No one ever likes to gather for a funeral, but it was great to be with family (some of which, Jared hadn't seen in 15 years! Here's a pic of the cousins! Jared's mom, her husband, Jared's aunt, cousin and sister. Aunt Darce LOVED seeing the kids! And they were in heaven playing with her too! Kaylee took a good nap that day! Just look at that cute litte face! Aunt Darcee loved holding baby Zackers!

http://hjthomson.blogspot.com/2010/11/happy-birthday-zackers.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Happy Birthday, Zackers! Every year we say the same thing: "I can't believe another year has gone by". And it's so true. Hard to believe that our baby boy is 1 already! He's such a sweet boy and we're very grateful that Heavenly Father has sent him to our home! We love you, Zackary! Thanks to Auntie, who made his cake. He was so cute eating his cake.looking around making sure that it was ok. And Kaylee was there in case he needed any 'help'! Then he really got into it!

A Family Of Three - Happy As Can Be. Friday, October 31, 2008. Those darn Halloween costumes are so expensive these days! Holy cow. So Holly decided that she would try and make Kaylee's costume this year. She found the wings for Kaylee's costume at a second-hand store for like $4 and then she made the rest (sewed the leotard, made the antennas and put the little fluffies on her shoes)! I think that it turned out quite well. Isn't she just the cutest little butterfly you've ever seen? But she had a lot of...

Ramblings on Food and Life. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. 涮羊肉 - Usually translated as Mongolian Hot Pot (as opposed to Sichuan Hot Pot, which was featured in an earlier post - http:/ orchidscripture.blogspot.com/2008/06/blog-post.html. This sort of hot pot is known for an abundance of various cuts of lamb and the old-fashioned, free-standing, "coal burnin' " copper top pot. McCain would be happy: no pork allowed. Sunday, July 27, 2008. Beef Rendang and a glass of lemon barley water. On your way upstairs to t...

Orchid Scripture: August 2009
http://orchidscripture.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Ramblings on Food and Life. Friday, August 28, 2009. Back to the Books. Earlier this week, as a final little kitchen project before going back to the books [non-cookbooks that is], I made some whole wheat french bread (using whole wheat flour that Owen had just ground up from wheat berries using our hand mill) and yogurt cheese (which is so easy that it's definitely going to keep being made throughout the school year). Oh, and some undocumented sweetened condensed milk was also made. Above and below: Wha...
