Jon and Sherry's RV life…. July 1 – 15, 2015. Another few days of weekend fun separated by a few days of work; normal routine stuff for our life at the bottom of The Mountain. Every workday evening, just after 7 o’clock when Sherry gets home and just before we crank up a DVD for the evening’s entertainment, we both ask each other the same question how was your day? Jon and Sherry's RV life…. July 16 – 31, 2015. We can still get all mushy even after 27 years of married bliss. Anyhow, here’s what we did on the weekends. On the 25th we continued the Rainier 100 geocache quest. It was a cloudy and relatively cool day (we had a stretch of very warm temps for this neck of the woods, in the 90s) so we headed to the more urban flatlands on the northwest side of the Mountain in and near Enumclaw where we found five more of the series caches along with several others.

Now, I definitely do not recommend consuming nettles without adding a little heat. When you add heat to nettles the stinger is denatured and it will no longer sting you. So, if you want to build your strength, feel great and eat your traditional greens. Here is how you can handle and consume nettles. What to do with your harvest? Option A- Preser...

Sunday, July 22, 2007. Here are a few shots of the Taylor Park ATV trip and the ascent to the top of American Flag Mountain. All that is left of the old town is the NFS Volunteer outpost. The trail beckons and the ATVs are raring to go. There is still a bit of snow on yonder peaks. Lots of streams to cross with crystal clear water. As we ascend we see the glacier faces. Above treeline the rocks appear to be barren, craggy and inhospitable. Coming around the bend in the trail we see the summit in sight.
