Where the Streets Have No Name. Excursions, reflections, and ramblings of an RUF @ Stanford Intern. I love the internship because part of my job is to read and learn! Listed below are some of my favorite books– both from the study program and my personal library. Those with stars are not in the study program. I hope you have a chance to check them out… and I’m always up for some good conversation about them, too! I will be updating periodically, so stay tuned…. Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands. Peace, Love, Hotty Toddy: Down to the Delta

http://maddiemartin.blogspot.com/2009/11/down-to-delta.html

Friday, November 13, 2009. Down to the Delta. A couple weeks ago, the RUF staff (and Kyle) piled into Les's minivan early Sunday morning, and made our way down to the booming metropolis of Greenwood, MS. It was my first experience in the Delta, and a great one. Overall we had a great Greenwood/Delta experience, and I hope to make it back sometime. We stopped at a cottonfield on the way back, which makes for some fun pictures. November 13, 2009 at 11:59 AM. So where are the pictures? Down to the Delta.

Monday, July 27, 2009. On the road again! Well I am currently sitting in the center of the Charlotte airport, on my way to RUF Staff Training! Sunday, December 6, 2009. Happy Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas to all! Well, I have been a little slack in updating my blog this semester so I hope you will accept my deepest apologies and hopefully we will be able to start afresh in the new year! This fall has been very good to me. I don't even know where to begin when trying to recall all of the amazing experiences I have had this fall but I suppose it is fitting to start with the best. Peace, Love, Hotty Toddy: August 2009

http://maddiemartin.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 22, 2009. From my bench at Square Books. Well, it's been a busy week, but a great one! A week ago today, though it seems like it’s been about a decade. A weekend of meeting people and moving in, two days of orientation with RUF staff, and three days of freshmen move-in later, I’m loving. And now, for the first time since the incipient two months of my life, I’m a. Girl once again. For the past week, I’ve been finding signs that I am no longer in. Given by friends, I’ve learned whic...

Peace, Love, Hotty Toddy: The Calm Before the Storm

http://maddiemartin.blogspot.com/2009/08/calm-before-storm.html

Friday, August 7, 2009. The Calm Before the Storm. Earlier this week I got a call from the RUF office that I have officially been cleared to move (thus I am past 75% of my support), and I can't tell you the relief and thanks that comes with this. I am humbled and encouraged to have so many people behind me in this endeavor. I think the anxiety will set in soon, but I'm still just looking the experience, hoping I can do my job, learn a lot, and have some fun along the way. But for now I. Viva la vida - eli.

Sunday, April 11, 2010. Well, I just had surgery again on Thursday and have been laying on the couch, popping pain meds and watching the Masters on TV.
