Thursday, July 16, 2015. A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated the opening of a new body of work by Susie Pryor. With over 30 new paintings, the gallery was alive with beautiful florals, rustic barns, children playing and street scenes of Paris in the rain. Image above: "Overlooking Tuscany", oil on canvas, 54" x 72". Below is a photo of Susie, with Mabry McClelland, who is the artist's favorite model, and also the daughter of our very own, Christina! They are selling fast! We hope to see you in soon!

Pryor Fine Art: June 2013
http://blog.pryorfineart.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 6, 2013. Moving Trees: An artist statement from Helen Shulman. I was about 8 years old, sitting with an art teacher on an Ohio farm road. We were drawing a barn. Near the barn was a huge pine tree. The teacher suggested it would look good behind the barn. "But it's over there," I said. "It's your painting; you can put the tree wherever you want it," she responded. That was it. I was stunned. I was in love. I was free. If I painted, I could put the tree wherever I wanted! Guido the plumber and Michelangelo obtained their marble from the same quarry, but what each saw in the marble made the difference between a nobleman's sink and a brilliant sculpture. - Bob Kall. I totally get that, but everyone has to earn a living. It's all good either way. You go Michelangelo,. And you go Guido.
