Scaling the Cliffs of Insanity: September 2011
http://storybook-love.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 20, 2011. We celebrated Ada's birthday way back in July, but somehow never got around to baking her a cake. So on Sunday, she asked if she could finally make her birthday cake. (y'know before her birthday becomes completely overshadowed by Ryan's birthday on Wednesday.) She made her very own cake FROM SCRATCH! And it was delicious! Chocolate tower topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Ada's first time curling her own hair! As told by buttercup. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Whitings - Us Against the World!!: June 2009
http://halnjess.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 18, 2009. Our heart-attack for the day. Chalk this up for another "freak accident" for poor Mike. All we got was a phone call saying Hal's brother fell from scaffolding, in critical condition in surgery," and we immediately remembered the last phone call like that when he broke his back skiing (overshot his jump landing by about 20 feet). We're glad you're alive, man. Friday, June 12, 2009. Wednesday, June 10, 2009. So cliche, but I really can't believe my baby is 5! Mom, we're buddies in.

Whitings - Us Against the World!!: Baby Bunny
http://halnjess.blogspot.com/2010/03/baby-bunny.html
Friday, March 05, 2010. I have these emotional snapshots of every place we've lived (a little Mitch Album for ya). For instance, Calgary: the snow swirling and dusting the freeway. Texas: Pitch, pitch black sky above an absolutely flat and endless prairie with lightning striking constantly-almost like fireworks- in the distance. Well, here, it's the ski resort lights along the ridge of the mountains behind our house. At night the resort just glows as you walk out the house and it seriously.

Saturday, December 19, 2009. Ok, confession time, the Christmas cards ended up being a printing nightmare, and then I was still somehow 20 short (still trying to figure that one out) so keep checking your mailbox! I was so sad we didn't get a good family photo to send out, though. So I packed the girls up-. I sent out cards- and finally got some cute shots of them together. 2 out of the 4 of us isn't bad? Especially when they're the two cute ones). These two are so cute together. It hurts to have hair!

Sunday, April 26, 2009. Am I glowing yet? This cartoon had me laughing and it's about how I feel lately! SO to top off the photo, I slipped and broke a few bones in my hand so I just need to add a cast to this shot and ask.AM I GLOWING YET? Topping it off by dearly attempting to do my hair with one hand! They're sending me to a hand surgeon tomorrow to see if I'll need surgery. Aww-yeah. She LOVES her "new" cousins and the boys are. Scaling the Cliffs of Insanity: November 2009
http://storybook-love.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 19, 2009. I hope you enjoy hearing Ryan playing Blackbird by the Beatles. I love his beaming Smile at the end when everyone is clapping for him. Also I was glad that the emcee gave kudos to Ryan for finger picking because it is so challenging. Rock on Ryan! As told by buttercup. Ryan's First Guitar Concert. Last night Ryan had his first Guitar Concert. He has been so excited for this! It was kind of a late night, but for the first time that the music school did this, it was awesome!

Whitings - Us Against the World!!: January 2010
http://halnjess.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 07, 2010. I love baby blessings. It was such chaos the weekend of the blessing (for several reasons ;-). But it ended up being a fantastic day. Thanks to all who took the time to come. Phyllis said it well when she told Joyce that only she could pull off putting a room in chaos into a Sacrament meeting in 10 minutes! The food was fantastic! My cute sister-in-law and niece did a beautiful violin number). We were glad Dan and Addie could make it. There were almost 40 of us there!
