Wide-eyed Wanderer

Thursday, October 6, 2016. Days 10 and 11: Rolling Home. There isn't much to see between the Badlands National Park and home, but there are friends. We stopped in Worthington, MN, to see Jonathan and Lois Larson. He is pastor of Indian Lake Baptist Church. She was a high school friend of Steve's. Lois's mother (age 93) is a dear friend and neighbor of Mom's. After a lingering breakfast, we headed northeast through Marshall, where Steve's dad grew up. Wide-eyed Wanderer: June 2016

http://wide-eyedwandererww.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 3, 2016. Saturday, Day 29: Headed Home. Next time I see him I know he will be taller. His vocabulary will be bigger, and he'll probably get those Ls that he is working so conscientiously to pronounce. The things that send him into temper tantrums will be fewer (I hope). He will recognize more printed words or at least be able to sound them out. Hopefully, he will still love sharing stories and cuddles and talking to Jesus. Labels: Korea trip 3. Friday, Day 28: Seoul Forest. When we visited N...

Wide-eyed Wanderer: September 2016

http://wide-eyedwandererww.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 30, 2016. Day 5 afternoon: Grand Teton National Park. We were surprised to sail right into Grand Teton National Park without showing our card. We were headed south. Later at the southern end of the park we saw a line of people stopping to pay or show cards at the entrance. Not sure why we were never asked from the north. Here's our first view of the Teton Range. We turned off US 89 to take the park road. Our Secrets of the National Parks. But the view was worth it. Sunshine was coming a...

Wide-eyed Wanderer: Day 9: Badlands National Park

http://wide-eyedwandererww.blogspot.com/2016/10/day-9-badlands-national-park.html

Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Day 9: Badlands National Park. America's Best Value Inn. I already have 75 pictures of the Badlands in my photo library. I really don't need to take more even if it is a beautiful day. Only if there is something really unique. That was my intention when we set out this morning. So I only took 35 more. Maybe I should say I only kept 35 more. I deleted some. But this place is so fascinating! Steve says the first time he was here as a child, he thought he had landed on the moon.

LeAnne Hardy, author and editor - Blog

http://www.leannehardy.net/blog.html

LeAnne Hardy, author and editor. 8203;I recently read. By Chris Kyle. It isn’t great writing, just an ordinary soldier (make that an. Soldier) telling about his experiences. I’m American, but let’s just say this was a cross-cultural experience for me. The book showed up as available on my library app, and I had heard a lot about it when the movie came out, so I thought, why not? He kills people for a living. How can that be? Choose from the February and March 2016 entries, or go to Day 1. Not surprising ...

Wide-Eyed in Tokyo

Monday, December 28, 2009. Nelly and Copper playing tug of war. All the rest are pictures from Jane's farm. She likes animals, but they're more like pets than livestock. Here are some chickens. I took all these pictures at Gen's request. Normally I don't venture beyond the house. Barnyard animals freak me out. I trace it back to a bad petting zoo experience as a child. These chickens have feathered feet. They're pretty cool looking. They have a waterfall that goes from the ceiling down to the lower level...

Wide-Eyed Troubadour

The age of chivalry is gone. That of sophisters, economists and calculators has succeeded. Tuesday, May 15, 2007. Posted by wide-eyed at 3:19 pm. Monday, May 14, 2007. I can still feel the blood pounding in the back of my head. My hands have been balled up into fists for so long I’m finding it difficult to type and I have a series of crescent shaped marks in the soft flesh of my palm left by my own fingernails. My eyes are bloodshot, my jaw is cramping and my teeth have been ground down to powder. Surely...
