http://wideblueworld-dispatches.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-road-to-podcasting.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2015. The Road to Podcasting. I’m in the midst of preparing this week’s podcast, #7 already. It requires a road trip which is a pretty wonderful thing. And it’s a short road trip which is equally wonderful because I have little motivation to venture too far from my. The godfather of modern radio storytelling) giving some hints. I’ve read a lot of advice on this, but his seems the most relevant and timely for me and my goals. Ira Glass’s Rules for Podcasting. Keep going even when you m...

Wide Blue World: Daily: August 14, 2015
http://wideblueworld-daily.blogspot.com/2015/08/august-14-2015.html
August 14, 2015. Normally I come home from my long Mimm's Ranch walk and make my lunch and spend my afternoon working on novel or podcast or cleaning my bathroom (favorite avoidance technique) etc. I just now got home and looked at what I have on my task list for this afternoon: lunch out and a haircut. I'm so nice to myself! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do you think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary? What we need is to live without getting tired. Friday, August 14, 2015. We are made of stars and it's only right that we reclaim our heritage and spend time among them. Featuring Gene Autry's version of Deep in the Heart of Texas and a wonderful song by Guy Clark called The Dark, covered here by Terri Hendrix. It's so dark you can smell the moon. Wide Blue World
http://wideblueworld.blogspot.com/2015/06/welcome-to-silly-comforting-blog-to.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. This is the blog of Gretel Enck of Marfa, Texas. Welcome to the silly, comforting blog,. To paraphrase Mary Oliver. And we all should, regularly. The blog is not the world. It isn't even the first page of the world. But the blog wants to flower, like a flower. It knows that much. It wants to open itself,. Like the door of a little temple,. So that you might step inside and be cooled and refreshed,. And less yourself than part of everything. November 25, 2015 at 6:12 AM.

Wide Blue World: Dispatches: Smelling the Earth
http://wideblueworld-dispatches.blogspot.com/2015/05/smelling-earth.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. Two of my goals for the Marfa weekend were 1. sitting on the hard seats of the Crowley Theater. And partaking of the CineMarfa film festival, and 2. getting outside and enjoying the record spring bloom. Don't worry- it should go without saying I ate some good food too. A highlight of the festival was a series of four short experimental films by a local artist. My goal of getting outside was fulfilled on Saturday when I took my favorite local walk on Mimm's Ranch. Soundtrack for Movi...

Wide Blue World: Dispatches: Minimalism is not Perfection
http://wideblueworld-dispatches.blogspot.com/2015/08/minimalism-is-not-perfection.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Minimalism is not Perfection. I finally got around to visiting some of the small galleries in my neighborhood this past Saturday. It was fun. I saw some art and commerce and had nice interaction, especially a surprise conversation about Eastern Europe with the insightful Latvian-American who turns out to be my neighbor. She proceeded to explain to me that minimalism was just reducing something until it could be reduced no farther, a stripping bare. 8217;s definition of perfection:.
