Because the world is full of wonder. Laquo; The bee in the bottle. June 22, 2010. The waxing moon, low in the south calls me outdoors. I pause at the step. The air is still. Jellyfish clouds hang in the north-west, molten gold in the darkening blue. Gossamer threads pinking high in the sky are criss-crossed by contrails dispersing hours after planes have flown by. It’s a regular feeding stop for the birds at this time of year. The alluring red berries shine among the green leaves, bright and delicious. In the morning the tree is filled with the chirps and persistent tweets of fledgling birds hanging on to the apron strings by getting mum and dad to do the feeding.
