The Wheeling Intelligencer over the weekend reported on the delay of Wild Escape in an article titled Big Holes In Park Plans. The Intelligencer is grabbing onto the Wheeling Feeling, giving the article an undertone of negativity. Perhaps it is the years and years of empty promises by the city and county elders promising that change is just around the corner. Currently, this blog is dead, but I'm holding it in case something should arise. Thursday, July 26, 2007. Has a report today saying, essentially, that work continues on Wild Escape. The one big piece of news is that the rides are supposedly in storage, just waiting for construction to begin. What is obviously missing, however, is whether permits have been granted by the Army Corps of Engineers or not. While it does talk about the environmental concerns, it says nothing about permits. Wild Escape - On Hold.
