It was forecast a nice southerly wind, So i thought i would give it a go. I put some decoys out and three wigeon came whizzing past me. This blog is to show my experiences and hunting on my local marsh. Monday, 5 September 2011. First geese of the season. A few of us had our first flight of the season Saturday. Even though it was not on the foreshore it was just as memorable. We were shooting a local farmers field, who had been having quite a few geese appearing on his fields, and he was not happy about it. This blog is to show my experiences and hunting on my local marsh. Monday, 1 October 2012. I had go on another inland stubble field on Saturday, that had flooded up with some nice large splashes. Unfortunately i had to work so i was unable to make first light. I rushed to get to the field only to be greeted by a hundred Canada's feeding on a couple of splashes. Although we were shooting inland, over stubble it was just as exciting. The weather felt a bit wrong with midges buzzing around us and biting the crap out of us. I was lucky enough to get two geese. This blog is to show my experiences and hunting on my local marsh. Saturday, 30 July 2011. Wentloog Wildfowlers remove skip load of rubbish from foreshore. A huge skip load of metal, plastic and rubbish and over 50 car tyres have been cleared off the foreshore between Cardiff and Peterstone by a group of wildfowlers. The foreshore tidy-up was organised by the Wentloog Wildfowling and Conservation Association, thanks to a grant from Keep Wales Tidy and with help from members of the Gwent Wildlife Trust.

Bruce's Exotic Water Fowl. I have been raising exotic water fowl for over sixty years. My ducks and geese come from all over the world. There are varieties from North and South America, Europe and Asia. If you visited my farm you might see a Chiloe Wigeon or Garganey Teal out on the pond.
