Birdwatching and Photography by Mick and Sylvia Brennan. Thursday, 16 October 2014. The Migration continues slowly. Tuesday went north of the Tees and managed to see Brambling, Goldcrest, and Jack Snipe. Thursday went south of the Tees and managed another Red-breasted Flycatcher, Merlin, Woodcock and the first Redwings of the Autumn, unfortunately the weather was too bad to hang about for the Firecrest at South Gare so hope it hangs around. Birdwatching and Photography by Mick and Sylvia Brennan. Sunday, 30 March 2014. This Greenfinch was very angry when the Redpoll came to the feeders at Saltholme last weekend. Yesterday we had our first Wheatears at Kildale along with lots of Meadow Pipit. It was nice to see the Red Grouse so close to the road and not at all bothered. The Little Owl was sitting out as we passed on our way home which made an excellent end to a lovely day. Links to this post. Thursday, 13 March 2014. Links to this post.

Waxwings have been in very short supply this year.this one was unusually by itself at R.S.P.B. Saltholme. It was feeding and drinking well but did look a bit lonely. Pleased Sylvia caught up with one as she didn't want to dip out on one of her favorite birds. Links to this post. Thursday, 20 February 2014.
