The Taman Tasik Perdana park is located in the West of Kuala Lumpur close to the central railway station. The park is dominated by a large lake and is surrounded by ornamental trees and shrubs. In July I visited the area around Langres in France on the border of the Champagne and Franche Compte regions, staying in the small village of Charmes St Valbert. Gannets - On ferry crossing. Black Redstarts - Several seen in the village. Red-Backed Shrikes - Several seen in hedgerows. Black Kites (see below). Goshawks - In Charmes St Valbert. White Stork - 1 flew over Lac de Vingeanne. Booted Eagle - 1 flew over Lac de Vingeanne.

Local farmers make cheese from sheep's milk (Oscypek) which is smoked inside small wooden huts. Waterfall at the end of Dolina Strążyska.
