Saturday, August 1, 2009. This is the 2'nd picture ever taken of a breaching basking shark! Fantastic. It was a cold and wet tuesday off the west coast of the Isle of Mull, Scotland. I was aboard one of Sea Life Surveys boats on a 2 hour Ecocruz (www.sealifesurveys.com). We were adrift just of Ardmore point enjoying a nice hand warming cup of coffee and someone screamed 'eagle! An awesome day, this was truly an incredible sight and a rare but fortunate capture, I'm smiling to say the least!
