Sunday, 7 June 2015. Well Sunday arrived again which sent me off on my Hawk search, ending back at Ardmore I went to the opposite side of my last position and found a great spot, locating a tractor and hay baler parked up I climbed its roof which put me above the maze, about 15 minutes later my first Hawk turned up. The Spitfire after taking off looped the airfield came in for a nice low fast pass then departed, my guess for its final home "Omaka" Blenheim as he did not return. 7 June 2015 at 00:40.

Sunday, 31 May 2015. Over the last couple of week ends I have been trying to capture some reasonable shots of the Hawk. My location has been some corn and onion fields at the back of my local airfield. This location is quiet with trees against the outer edges where I decided to hang out with a bit of cover, I still need to do more and find a better hide and locate some road kill or something to get a better position but I think I am on the right track to produce better shots. Thursday, 9 April 2015. Classic Fighters "OMAKA" 2015. This show is held in Marlborough every two years and in my opinion is better than Warbirds Over Wanaka, the location of the airfield against the hills and the back light of the sun for the majority of the day is just what the doctor calls for in Aviation Photography.
