We've been busy frolicking the last of our summer away while Dave was home for his r&r. It was a wonderful two weeks. Filled with so many activities. Which included the following:. Devouring juicy Amish peaches. 4 Wheeling across a 600 acre farm. A weekend of camping. Washing the car,. Rafting the Ocoee River. Watching baby perfect her mad walking skills. So there I was.

A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Hundred year flood part 2. My technical illiteracy put this video in a separate post. Two weeks ago we had some serious rain. Something along the lines of 14 inches in 12 hours. Everyone upstream and downstream got hit by a super long front producing the rain. The flooding was extensive. Baby, the menagerie and I are fine. The creek behind our home is far down the hill from us. We were high and dry through the ordeal. Wednesday, May 5, 2010.

A Work In Progress: Nauvoo
http://daveharrell.blogspot.com/2011/01/nauvoo.html
A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Saturday, January 15, 2011. True to form this information is a little out dated. My sister and I took a weekend to visit Nauvoo, Illinois before she left again for Alaska. The day we arrived there was a beautiful sunset over the Mississippi River. The temple was breathtaking. Women's Memorial Garden at the LDS Visitor's center. Fun place to stay. A little village of restored cabins within Nauvoo. I think the owner carved this headboard on the bed. So there I was.

A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Friday, July 23, 2010. After a restful night of sleeping off two days of driving we headed out to see the sights. The town of Palmyra is 15-20 miles from Lake Ontario. Being so close we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go check it out. What we didn't do was get it IN the water. Which is the equivalent. Of going to the Louvre and not seeing the Mona Lisa. Or stopping at Grandpa's Cheese Barn and not tasting the smoked Gouda. All of which are tragedy's. The log h...

A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Baby started crawling last week! Just in time for the new floor too. Here are the pumpkins at 5 days and again at 9 days. I can't believe how fast they have taken off. We are going to start some more today and hopefully get them all in the ground soon. Now eat your way through the door. The pictures are of the honey comb they built this past week. Too bad I had to remove it. It was in some valuable honey real estate. All in due time.

A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Who loves to color? I drew this picture for all the little (and big) guys and girls that love coloring and also love awesomeness. Print and color. Saturday, October 9, 2010. My sweet wife teased me yesterday that my dog has a higher education than I do because he has graduated twice compared to my one. It was witty and playful and made my feelings feel like they were eaten by raptors. I love MS Paint. Friday, October 8, 2010. Oh, by-th...

A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Bring your daughter to work day. This past Thursday Lillian went to work with Daddy. The highlights included consuming cookies and her first Capri-Sun, "helping" dad on the computer and trying on the helicopters while dad loaded them up. According to eye witnesses there was plenty of fawning and oohing from Dads co-workers over the cuteness. Our little aspiring pilot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Misadventures of a Girl. So there I was.

http://daveharrell.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A Work In Progress. This Space for Rent. Thursday, December 30, 2010. The wheels on the bus go round and round. A wonderful family we have the privilege of knowing invited Lillian and me to look at some of Nashville's greatest Christmas decorations at the Opryland Hotel the day after Christmas. This grand hotel recently reopened after the floods in May. I was very excited about this opportunity. This family travels in their own bus! Four foster children, a recent and unexpected addition. While my sister ...
