I enjoy painting, so was motivated to continue on to other projects. Nick replies, "Sometimes, but sometimes I can't." He says nothing more, I don't explain. He can't because he usually takes his chemo right before leaving home and it needs to sit in his empty stomach for a couple hours. So, most mornings he can't eat the breakfast provided by his school. Random person, "Look at those cute, plump cheeks!

Our life while battling childhood cancer - join us as we laugh, cry, and learn. Nicholas was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, pre-B cell ). November 23, 2010 at the age of 3.5. He started the first phase of chemotherapy on Thanksgiving Day. Treatment consists of 38 months of chemotherapy. His prognosis is excellent - 95% "event free survival" five years off treatment.
