Crooked Oak Farm: Bon Voyage, Spain!
http://ofovinesbovinesandcanines.blogspot.com/2014/01/bon-voyage-spain.html
Trial stories of a few good dogs. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Bon Voyage, Spain! Yes, it was hard. I've never parted with a dog, but it was time for Spain to move on. She was progressively showing me that she didn't want to trial in Open any longer. In fact, the last several trials she had to be on leash before our turn or she'd run off and not come to me. I have *never* treated her harshly in the least bit and really, didn't put much training pressure on her at all. Spain has now been in her new home fo...

Crooked Oak Farm: May 2014
http://ofovinesbovinesandcanines.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Trial stories of a few good dogs. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Last weekend we set sail on the maiden voyage of the new camper and went up to Dave Fetterman's Borders On Paradise trial. It was my first time and it was a success! A big entry of 91 dogs and some steep competition, my dogs worked well and made me very happy. Gabe's best finish was at 17th and Livy's was 35th. I made plenty of mistakes myself on those two runs; here's hoping that means it's easier to fix me than the dogs! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Trial stories of a few good dogs. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Lazy J Farm SDT. Setout pens at Novice field. Spain ran early in Open and had a decent go. We got to run 3 hair lambs and my group consisted of 2 Barbs! Still, we got a respectable score and ended up 3 spots out of the placings. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Crooked Oak Farm: October 2012
http://ofovinesbovinesandcanines.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Trial stories of a few good dogs. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Gabe was my first to run, and as he crested the first hill I gave him a security redirect to keep him out. He took it perfectly and continued on to have a lovely outrun. The middle part of the fetch was in a big dip, so it was blind to the handler at the post. Gabe went in online and to my surprise emerged online! Gabe on the first leg, Sue's cell phone pic. Still not me, third drive leg to the cross, pen on the right. It was super fun! Last ...

A rambling blog from the fields of Victory Farm of The County Kent in the State of Maryland, USA. May include adventures of the humans and creatures inhabiting the farm. My chosen home is beautiful. The skies can be breathtaking. Last night I was out, and luckily had my camera. In the northwest a small thunder storm storm was rolling through. In the southeast the sky was quiet. Nearly every shot here is natural light, only minor tweaks on a few. There are so many because I couldn't choose. Vet on the Edge.
