My main interest is oral history which is a means of making an historical record using the voices of people speaking from their own experiences. I have lots of other interests as well - book club, local history, playing violin, photography. In October 2011 I travelled without my husband, for the first time, to attend a conference in Melbourne. I had a friend accompany me as my “carer” and fellow conference attendee. This would be my first “adventure” as a disabled person. Er before in his brand-new taxi.

A couple of weeks ago I had a very interesting time at the Transverse Myelitis Awareness Day at Spinal Injuries Australia. It was very good to meet other people there who also have TM and find out about their history. In the USA, which has been going for 20 years.

Ecue but postponed it till the next day when the temperature had dropped to a tolerable 30degC. It was our first barbecue for 2014 and as usual it was delicious. Terry is great at doing barbecues.
