Fedora Core 6, Xen and Asterisk – Steve's Blog
https://www.crc.id.au/fedora-core-6-xen-and-asterisk
One beans place in space. Fedora Core 6, Xen and Asterisk. After hunting around for quite some time, I couldn’t find any documentation on how to run Asterisk. Domain while using a TDM400P FXO card. This became rather interesting, as Asterisk needs to have access directly to the PCI card and needs to load kernel modules to do so. Doing this inside a Xen domain was tricky – with very little documentation. Some of the basic information here was taken from the FedoraXenQuickStartFC6. Flags : fpu tsc msr pae ...

https://www.crc.id.au/hacking-the-grandstream-bt-100
One beans place in space. Hacking the Grandstream BT-100. So after a lot of playing around, I’ve managed to come up with a slightly different way of creating ring tones. I’ve managed to get past the 65Kb size for a custom ring tone. The perl script for making ring tones is here. This has been tested by myself with firmware version 1.0.5.11 upwards (including 1.0.5.18 Beta firmware dated 18/Nov/2004). I originally came across this script at www.voip-info.org. Firmware: 1.0.3.81. Early dial and challenge/M...

Configuring DNSSEC on EL6 and bind 9 – Steve's Blog
https://www.crc.id.au/configuring-dnssec-on-el6-and-bind-9
One beans place in space. Configuring DNSSEC on EL6 and bind 9. It looks like there isn’t much in the way of documentation to step people through enabling DNSSEC on their Scientific Linux 6 / CentOS 6 / RHEL6 servers – so as I normally do, I’ve decided to write a quick howto based on MANY searches and trial and error. Firstly, we need to enable dnssec in. This will enable the DNSSEC feature set in bind. Check you have the following, or add it if it doesn’t exist:. Restart bind after this via. This signs ...

One beans place in space. EDIT: This is mostly obsolete now – as it is over 5 years old. It is kept here for historical reference and in case it helps someone with an issue. This is the collection of information I have posted on Whirlpool’s. As you may or not know, Engin. Had a marketing promotion that had them selling a version of the Sipura SPA-2000. System, that was fine. Then came the problem of firmware upgrades. In all instructions, substitute x.x.x.x with the IP address of your SPA-2000. Http:/ co...

One beans place in space. OpenWRT builds move to LEDE. Recently I’ve moved the builds for the WD MyNet systems to LEDE. I’ve also started building for more than just the MyNet N750 – and now *all* ar71xx systems will get a nightly build. The build directories now follow the date of the build, not the revision number. The new builds are available at: http:/ openwrt.crc.id.au/. Why people hate #systemd. Irssi: Join to #systemd was synced in 5 secs. Just a “Started” then nothing further? Eg there’s ss...

One beans place in space. Real console on Linksys SRW2024 switch. I’ve been meaning to put this up for a while, as I’ve been very critical in the past about Linksys and their very – challenging? Way to configure the SRW2024 switch – however there is a better way to configure the devices. There is however, a Cisco-like interface that you can use and ditch the useless default console. First, telnet (or SSH, or console) to your device and login. Now you should get to a prompt that has a couple of options.

One beans place in space. Google steals money from its Ad network? I stumbled across this text – which does come from an anonymous source, but seems to be credible enough to have at least somewhat valid information. I removed Google Adsense from my site months ago – simply because I had a feeling that something going on – when I compared Google’s information against my own statistics, they were miles apart. Interestingly enough though, there is quite a bit of information that states it might be a fake.

One beans place in space. 8216;luddite censorship’ comes to Australia. In a nutshell, what it allows is that the “Rights Holders” can go to the courts and say “ZOMG, THIS SITE PIRATES OUR SHIZNIT! 8221; If the judge is able to check all the tickboxes required, the order will come out to ALL Australian ISPs to block access to the IP address hosting the site(s) in question. The ISPs comply and black-hole that specific IP address. So what do we do about it? Bring this up with your local Members of Parliament.

One beans place in space. Tony Abbott and the Australian flag. Tony Abbott (our illustrious Fuckwit-in-Chief) has a problem. One could call it an addiction. He seems to find comfort in the Australian flag. The bigger the problem, the more heat he is feeling, the more flags appear. This story is much better explained in pictures. On the 15-16th of December 2014, there was a siege in Martin Place. Photo thanks to NY Post. 8221; (I covered this previously). In practices that may end up being overturned and ...

One beans place in space. DNS Oops. Crashing bind from remote. It’s been a while since my last post – and this one is a doozey. So Bind is one of the most popular DNS servers on the planet. Just about everyone runs it. So when news breaks that a specially crafted request can cause the named process to exit, then a problem is presented. The official report says:. This doesn’t really convey the severity of the issue. Thankfully, the ISC elaborate more. In it, they say:. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Tracking...
