The driver was very cordial and when asked, gave a narrated tour of the downtown area for the passengers. He told us where to eat and what to eat at the restaurants, pointed out where Martin Luther King was shot, where Elvis hung out and where to do things in the downtown area. Information and Journal about the Saint Croix Railroad Live Steamers. Monday, July 28, 2003. Saint Croix Valley Railroad. On Sunday Cindy and I went to St. Croix again and joined up. We arrived just before opening and parked near the entrance. After signing the wavier for the liability we descended the stairs to the main waiting line for the 1.5" scale. I had planned to meet the University Railroad Club people on Sunday morning but it would have been hectic. They cancelled the week before so my arrival was unencumbered with the possibility of a tour. I got there about 10:30 and the place was jumping!
