June 6, 2013. After we arrived back in Mikumi (where we spent our first night) we were re-united with the other teachers. We said another sad farewell to our fantastic driver and thanked him for all his help throughout the week. (We also taught him more Welsh! Going on safari was AMAZING! The journey home…in a storm! June 6, 2013. On the return journey we travelled on two planes instead of three. We flew from Tanzania to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to Manchester. The flight to Amsterdam took 9 hours and we flew overnight again. This plane was newer than the other plane so we had a groovy remote control to manage the screen on the chair in front of us. June 6, 2013. We spent our final night in the ‘Arc Hotel’ and wow we were speechless when we arrivedit was luxury! The food was gorgeous! I had peppered steak and Tanzanian rice and Miss Jones had Pizza! We really enjoyed a nice warm shower and the television even had BBC news on it so we could catch up with everything that had been happening at home. The inside of the hotel was beautiful and our rooms were HUGE! We really enjoyed being spoilt for the night! Maybe I will put one on the wall!

Saying Goodbye to Robert. June 6, 2013. Sadly it was time to go to the airport. We had a ‘little’ wait before we could go into the airport (about 5 hours! But it actually ‘flew’ by! We sat outside in the sun, talking to local people as well as people who were travelling around Africa, furthermore I got to enjoy more Fanta Pineapple and eat coconut and cashew nut Dairy Milk (DELICOUS! Saying Goodbye to Robert was really difficult. Throughout the week Robert learnt lots of idioms from Miss Jones and I!

Visiting a market in Dar. June 6, 2013. Before we went to the airport Robert took us to a market! The jewellery was beautiful and I bought a lovely wooden bracelet and a wooden giraffe. I also bought some lovely flip flops with lots of multi-coloured beads on in a pattern. It was great to spend my last few Tanzanian shillings.
