memoirs of a hopeful housewife: December 2014
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
December 31, 2014. 2014: The best of. It is so hard to pick just a handful of photos to sum up a year. I can't do it very well even for a single event much less for a whole year. Gosh, I can't even pick a handful of photos for one year for one of the kids! As I look back, I am amazed at this year. We had so many fun opportunities that were unique. Big milestones. Little moments. So much goodness. And then again in. .November. It was a big birthday year. And a whole bunch in between. Get that man a cape!

Lord, Make Me a Saint: August 2014
http://makemeasaint.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2014. My little Sweetie Pie turned 5 on Sunday! I admit it, I get sad inside a little bit when I say that. My aunt asked me if she was my "favorite", she said, "you know if you. Could have a favorite, would she be it? All I'm going to say is I think about that conversation a lot. And I love all my children equally, really). I changed as a mother after my 5th baby. It, somehow, got easier. And then got harder again). I can't even explain it in words,. But things were easier in my mind.

memoirs of a hopeful housewife: 8th Grade Graduation.
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2015/06/8th-grade-graduation.html
June 8, 2015. Last week, Nathan officially graduated from eighth grade. Crazy! Our local homeschool support group organizes a very lovely Mass and Graduation ceremony. We are really happy that we chose to participate this year because we came home just so thankful to be surrounded by good, faithful, homeschoolers. It really is a blessing. Of course, no pictures of the Mass or Graduation ceremony. The two littlest people were not going to stay contained in the church any longer. :). Some links on this blo...

memoirs of a hopeful housewife: Share a Coke.
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2015/06/share-coke.html
June 22, 2015. I'm finally going to try and get caught up on blog posts. At least, put a few fun things here that I haven't gotten to do yet. Sometime in June, Nathan and Liz found their names on the 20oz Cokes in the grocery store. I agreed to buy them - if they had their actual name and only one time. (Because you know they'd be trying to buy a Coke every day if they could! Nathan and Liz found theirs first and the hunt was on every time we went into a store that had refrigerated cases of sodas. Some l...

memoirs of a hopeful housewife: Happy Happy Birthday!
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2015/06/happy-happy-birthday.html
June 7, 2015. Yes, that's a double happy birthday to two special kiddos- Elizabeth and Peter! Though their birthdays are 11 days apart, they often share a party. Because. Easier. And, they share the same Godparents so it just works out well that way. Elizabeth had no idea what she wanted for her eighth birthday cake this year, so roses it was. So, so simple and always looks beautiful. I love Peter watching Liz blow out her candles and then Liz watching Peter, with a cousin who really wanted to help!

memoirs of a hopeful housewife: July 2015
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
July 24, 2015. Of course, we waited until nearly the last minute to start painting. Elizabeth took half and I took half and the process actually went pretty quickly. The hardest part was trying to decide what colors and how to paint certain features. Carrie and Peter enjoyed painting their own dolls. Elizabeth and one of her dolls finished. Caroline and her doll. She carried this doll around with her for several days! One of Elizabeth's dolls front and back. I like Elizabeth's choice. Some links on this ...

A Dash of Snark: A Girl's Weekend
https://adashofsnark.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-girls-weekend.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. About the time Edel was happening I got it in my head that I should go on a girls weekend trip. I've never really done that before so I texted up my bestie Kathryn and proposed the idea. She concured and we picked this past weekend. But, we never get to do. Anything. Because we visit family. Or we're there for a wedding. Or both. Right? We stopped at the Guttenberg overlook. Because why not? And it was a beautiful day! We stopped at the Froelich Tractor Museum Historical Marker...

memoirs of a hopeful housewife: First Communion.
http://memoirsofahopefulhousewife.blogspot.com/2015/05/first-communion.html
May 5, 2015. Elizabeth celebrated her First Communion this past Sunday. The weather turned out absolutely perfect which just magnifies the beauty of the occasion. She was a wee bit nervous and a whole lot of excited. Our parish includes a part where they light baptismal candles to signify the link between Baptism and Holy Communion (and then later, Confirmation). Two of the very few pictures we took during Mass. Afterwards, with our priest Father Kemper. Super girls to the rescue! We are proud of you!
