Glen and Susan stopped in on their way home from the Shuswap on Sunday. We all went to Riverside Park for a picnic and a swim in the Thompson River which is certainly colder than the Shuswap - but very refreshing on a hot day. Information from Melrose and Bill.

On July 4th - Melissa kept busy carrying the 'goop' (mix of fine sand and clay) to make the Sand Castle at the mouth of Ross Creek as it enters Shuswap lake a perfect place to be on a hot day. Click on the pictures to enlarge * *. The Birthday supper was at Glen and Susan's where the young ones had fun making funny faces - for the camera. The "walk" starts on the steps just to the East - of our place. How neat to see such rough land where Aberdeen Mall is not far away. What a hike Bill and I went on to-day at Kenna Cartwright Park not far from where we now live. it is an entire mountain filled with 39 trails ranging in length from .2 Km. to 5.3 Km. Our hike began on the "Tower Trail" where we hiked on an 'easy' trail to the top of the mountain and saw the towers that we can see from our house. We also saw great views of North Kamloops. We then took off on a 'Black Diamond' Difficult.
