Laura Patterson Schmerker: January 2011
http://audipat.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. We Buy Ugly Houses. The second half of summer and most weekends since then have been eaten up by endless projects. Simple ones that you think will only take a day to complete drag out into much longer, complicated projects which require a lot of creative thinking to figure out. Our home is an old 1940s house that was a family home but later became a rental which was neglected for years. We found dog hair balls that gave our vacuum a challenge. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Laura Patterson Schmerker: October 2009
http://audipat.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Our year-long trip abroad gave us a lot of time to come up with perfect list of all the things we want and don't want in our new town. Since we had sold our house and quit our jobs, we could pretty much move anywhere, so the list really helped us narrow down our focus for quality of life living. Here are the major things we looked for:. 3 University or Continuing Education. 4 Art and Culture. 5 Near an Airport. Again, this knocks out a lot places. This was a big disappointm...

Sunday, October 2, 2011. Jeff and I are getting ready for our next adventure - parenthood. http://audipat.blogspot.com/2013/06/its-official-summer-is-on.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. It’s Official – Summer is on! I love working for the public schools. Where else can an adult get things like spring break? I count down the days till summer on the school calendar, marking each day with an X as I got closer and closer to June. Finally, we made it till the last day of school and now summer is officially on. But snowcapped mountains surround us and are a constant reminder that winter is not that far away - get out and enjoy things and I'll see you on the trail!

You know, like, whatever. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. This is the what. 8220;After God created men and women, according to local legend, he gave them cattle, the source of ‘milk and meat and prosperity of every kind.’ But God offered mankind a choice: ‘You can either have these cattle, as my gift to you, or you can have the What.’. 8220;The pacific Dinka wisely chose the cow. You know, like, whatever. Friday, September 26, 2014. Three beans from Nicaragua. All it took was a few minutes per handful in a stainless steel pot on an open stove. (Outside – always outside. As your neighborhood will soon find out, coffee roasting creates a lot of smoke.). 1 Café Premium Segovia ($3.70/400g – nearly 15 ounces). 2 Casa del Café ($6.75/400g). 3 Café Las Flores ($5.75/454g). This medium-roast whole bean was the winner of the three by far, and a great deal compared both to other Nica coff...
