Thursday, October 25, 2007. Below are some pictures from our return visit to Chiquitines. The social worker , Marylena, who counseled Tomás's birth mother, Kelly. Agatha Leon, the Directora of Chiquitines, and Marylena with Tomás. Saying good-bye to Marta, one of the nurses who took care of Tomas. Marta remembers Alejo as a baby, when he was affectionately called "gordito.". Alejo talking to William, one of the orphans. Alejo chasing after some of the orphans. The brothers, both adopted from Chiquitines.

Monday, November 5, 2007. Hanging out in Bogotá. True to his Colombian blood, Alejo has a taste for coffee, café con leche in this case. Even with a little bit of caffeine in him, Alejo is a sight to be seen. Lunch at Andres Carne de Res in Chia. This may well be the most eclectic and fun restaurant that we have ever been in. We went there for lunch, but at night, apparently, it is the place to be. Alejo enjoyed playing on Lena and Nico's slide - and Tomás on the swings with Lena. Born July 6, 2007.

We have valued the time we have spent together as a family these past weeks and the opportunity we have had to explore more of Colombia, but we are ready to return home to family, friends, dogs, familiar spaces, and routine.
