Doing Family Nerd Style: June 2015
http://picassoandtony.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Doing Family Nerd Style. Thursday, June 04, 2015. BJ's aunt, Marcy, lives in the Los Angeles area, and twice a year she goes to a large LA consignment sale and gets all three kids bunches of clothes. So once every spring and once every fall we get a box in the mail filled with clothes. This week, we received the ever exciting box of goodies! The kids love seeing what all they got, so this time, BJ took pictures of the grand opening. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Elegance with a Smudge. Being Mrs. Pierce.

Doing Family Nerd Style: May 2015
http://picassoandtony.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Doing Family Nerd Style. Friday, May 29, 2015. Frozen According to Shepherd and Lydia. Lydia, like any little sister, has lurked nearby wanting to play with her brother. They have managed to come up with several games involving the cabinet, but since I'm always busy with dishes or laundry or Violet, I haven't paid too much attention to the details. The other day, I stopped long enough to listen and watch from around the corner. Here is what I witnessed:. Lydia: Shep-ud, do you want to build a snowman?

the journey: Five Minute Friday: Last
http://emilyrenee.blogspot.com/2013/08/five-minute-friday-last.html
Everything in my life has brought me here. Rainer Marie Rilke. My Life in Tabs. A to Z Challenge 2012. Five Minute Friday: Last. I didn't know it would be the last time I got to talk to him. I didn't know it would be the last time I told him I loved him. I didn't know it would be the last time I hugged him. I didn't know it would be the last time I saw his smile. I didn't know it would be the last time I heard his laugh. I didn't know I was about to enter into a world where. From the mind of. This touche...

the journey: Small is the new Big
http://emilyrenee.blogspot.com/2013/08/small-is-new-big.html
Everything in my life has brought me here. Rainer Marie Rilke. My Life in Tabs. A to Z Challenge 2012. Small is the new Big. 5 Minute Friday is a weekly meme created by Lisa-Jo Baker. For years, I have associated. With not big. It's a word about little things of little importance. It is a word about things that aren't going to make a difference or change a life. It's about things that don't matter and won't matter. But, lately I've been thinking something new. What if small is the biggest word of all?

the journey: Fear, Failure and the Future
http://emilyrenee.blogspot.com/2013/08/fear-failure-and-future.html
Everything in my life has brought me here. Rainer Marie Rilke. My Life in Tabs. A to Z Challenge 2012. Fear, Failure and the Future. I'm on day four of the Start Experiment with Jon Acuff, and I'm already feeling the pressure and internal struggle coming. Start is all about getting off your bottom, getting moving, and. Already. I get that, and I'm excited to do it or I wouldn't have signed up. But, I'm not going to lie. There is real, honest, fear in doing so. What am I afraid of? I am afraid of failing.

Doing Family Nerd Style. Saturday, February 28, 2015. This is totally normal.for us. I have grown so accustomed to my son being in costume that I didn't even realize I was sitting across from someone wearing an eye patch until several minutes into my lunch. In between bites, he growled, "Aaargh! And fittingly enough, we were having fish sticks. Friday, February 27, 2015. And last but not least, those eyes! Wednesday, February 04, 2015. Doing Family Nerd Style. Friday, August 07, 2015. Four Days to Go: Violet's Personality. Since three kids keep a mommy pretty busy, I haven't been able to post as much about the development of Violet's personality as I did about Shepherd and Lydia. So to make up for that, here are the three attributes that have most stood out about Violet this past year. She has made us scared to leave our home. So to close, here is a picture of Violet eating her toes, because you can never get too many pictures of Violet.

Being Mrs. Pierce. Life as a wife, hiker, wanna-be chef, book-lover, traveler, and now, mom-to-be. Kitchen Remodel, Part 1 June 23, 2015. 8212; skpierce12 @ 8:58 AM. While we’re making over every room in the house, the kitchen is our definite splurge. We decided to do a complete make-over, starting from scratch. The old cabinets were stained, greasy, and in disrepair. Ditto for the appliances. We decided it all needed to go. Lighting was the next step. The old (and seriously dirty) fluorescent light ...

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus | Being Mrs. Pierce
https://beingmrspierce.wordpress.com/2014/08/04/roasted-red-pepper-hummus
Being Mrs. Pierce. Life as a wife, hiker, wanna-be chef, book-lover, traveler, and now, mom-to-be. Roasted Red Pepper Hummus August 4, 2014. 8212; skpierce12 @ 8:23 PM. Sometime last spring, I lost my cooking mojo. In the weeks and months after launching my blog. Nor did I stop cooking full-stop. Back in April, I tried out Ellie’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. John’s look upon seeing the hummus on the table was one of skepticism; even I can admit that the pink-orange hue of roasted red pepper hummus i...
