Schedule Changes for 2014 | Wonder in the Woods

https://wonderinthewoods.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/schedule-changes-for-2014

Wonder in the Woods. Living and Learning in the Pacific Northwest. Schedule Changes for 2014. I moved all my knitting posts to this blog. In 2014 our focus will be spelling, grammar, and writing. I am very happy with homeschooling this year. They are more independent. They get their school work done in the morning without complaint (most days). I am really glad we continued homeschooling this year as this has been our best year yet! I am looking forward to 2014! Share on Facebook (Opens in new window).

Graphic Novel Marathon | Wonder in the Woods

https://wonderinthewoods.wordpress.com/2014/03/23/graphic-novel-marathon

Wonder in the Woods. Living and Learning in the Pacific Northwest. Both boys are reading for hours this week and staying up until nearly midnight some nights because they want to read. They are reading in the car and complaining when it is too dark to read. Hunter has set a personal record for the number of books/pages read in one week — BY CHOICE. I’m thrilled! Amulet, Vol. 1: The Stonekeeper (Amulet, #1). Mar 15, 2014. Amulet, Vol. 2: The Stonekeeper’s Curse (Amulet, #2). Mar 17, 2014. Mar 17, 2014.

Paper Trail | Wonder in the Woods

https://wonderinthewoods.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/paper-trail

Wonder in the Woods. Living and Learning in the Pacific Northwest. This is me on The Bridge of the Gods in February of this year. My friend, Janna, and I went to the ALDHA-West Ruck and learned a ton about ultralight backpacking. It was also one of my biggest hiking mileage weekends to date. We hiked a beautiful section of the PCT and hiked up to Dry Creek Falls. Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window). Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). 6 comments on “ Paper Trail. Arithmetic Village | Wonder in the Woods

Wonder in the Woods. Living and Learning in the Pacific Northwest. Several weeks ago I stumbled upon Arithmetic Village. I wanted the books so I contacted the author Kimberly Moore to ask her if she would like to be my first review. She agreed. Then I thought, “Oh, I hope I like the books! 8221; I do like the books! I started by watching the videos on the Arithmetic Village website. 8221; but he still did not want to count things by twos. While reading the first page of Tina Times it said, “Ter...Hunter ...

Adventures in Knit, Crochet and Felt. February 16, 2014. By Wonder in the Woods. I used this pattern. For a reverse rice stitch cowl and local alpaca yarn from a friend. I used this new cast on. And accidentally twisted the stitches when joining the round. I decided to go with it. I’m happy with the results. This entry was posted in Knitting. 2 thoughts on “ Mobius Cowl. How I Wonder…. Posted by Wonder in the Woods. In Love and Faith. Asymp; 2 Comments. I wanted to find a good verse for today and once again a verse found me. Thank you to the sister of my heart for sharing this on Facebook. 8220;Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. These are the losses through death. There have been friendship losses as well. Wisdom Escapes Me | Wonder in Faith

https://wonderinfaith.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/wisdom-escapes-me

How I Wonder…. Posted by Wonder in the Woods. Asymp; 2 Comments. A friend brought this article. To my attention. I consider spiritual growth to be a personal experience but messages to the contrary are everywhere I turn. It would not bother me if these messages were saying, “This is what works for me! 8221; Instead they are all about what someone else *should* be doing. This was my response to the article:. How do I get over condemning them for it? On the other hand, Wisdom is silent and thoughtful and u...

Inner Circle | Wonder in Faith

https://wonderinfaith.wordpress.com/2010/09/10/inner-circle

How I Wonder…. Posted by Wonder in the Woods. In Love and Faith. Asymp; 2 Comments. Building an inner circle of friends takes time. Nurturing friendships with supportive and encouraging people takes careful discernment. I look for the following things in a potential friend:. Is this person authentic? Do they respect differences in others? Do they respect my religious beliefs? Do they respect me, my children and husband? Are they supportive even if it is not a choice they too would make? Wonder in the Woods by Jim Stahl

A word from the author:. I wrote this book because I believe many of today's children have lost their sense of wonder. Not everything for a growing mind comes with a "click". Children need to experience life first hand. Wonder in the Woods hopefully will draw both children and adults off-trail once in a while and reveal the joy of simple discoveries. Someday when you are holding your grandchild on your knee and are asked,. What did you do when you were a kid? What will be your answer?

Truths, Travel, TEFL. There are many different routes people can take to get into this field of work. There are TEFL courses, TESOL courses and CELTA qualifications – all just require a google search and you will find plenty of information on all three. I however, have a TEFL certificate, and so this blog relates to my experience of teaching with this qualification and any advice and tips I have. What is a TEFL certificate? And loved every moment (post on my experience on Koh Chang to follow).
