Friday, May 13, 2011. The original version of Friday. Is a whole lot of fun. Thanks Cin! Why do I love this song so much? Because everyone else in my family does, and if you can't beat them . . . Las Ramblings: October 2010
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 22, 2010. I don't know what the deal is, but whenever Halloween rolls around I fantasize about dressing up like some pop diva. This year, in a perfect world, I would be all over Lady Gaga. There would be eyelashes, hair, mini-everything, heels, meat (just kidding) . . . I know, I know. Tacky, played out, and best left to the twenty-somethings. But how fun would that be? These shoes are so pretty and blessedly low. I would wear them with everything. Photo credits: The Sartorialist. Las Ramblings: August 2011
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 13, 2011. Why, Lulu, Why? Lately I've gotten into yoga, emphasis on lately, and I was doing just fine thank you in my Old Navy yoga pants. Fine, that is, until a very generous and well-meaning party gifted me some lululemon. So I say why? Why, lulu, why? Guess I'll be living for the days when my lulu's are clean. PS Turns out I'm a Wunder. Under Crop girl. In case, you know, you were wondering. If you can, try to camp at the Orange County Fairgrounds during the annual Scottish Festival&#...

Some before-Christmas images before my family of four heads off into the wet and wild yonder. BTW, did you know that on the fourth day of Christmas it is "Four Colly Birds," and not "Four Calling Birds? I sure didn't. Learn something new . . . My friend Amber and her girl came over to decorate gingerbread men. Snook decorated the tree! Sunday, December 19, 2010.

Las Ramblings: Summer Stew
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011/08/food-section-this-morning-featured-this.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. The Food section this morning featured this cafe dish. Which seems to embody the light, flavorful, and. Cravings that are so common in the summer months. I know that's the kind of food I've been jonesing for lately. Actually, meat is taking less and less of a center stage for me in general. I just can't seem to get enough of the veggies. My mom must have done something right! Tunisian Chickpea Stew (Serves 4 to 6). 3 tablespoons olive oil. 1 cup diced onion. 1 cup diced carrot.

Las Ramblings: Time Machine Post #1
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011/07/time-machine-post-1.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. Time Machine Post #1. The H served this up one morning. For breakfast. It was delicious. We ate incredible Mexican food at this very popular hole-in-the-wall. Snook and Bubs started playing together like never before. I rooted for the my college-in-law's basketball team, to no avail. Bubs decided he likes it spikey. He also got something of the superhero in him all of a sudden. We went to the Children's Museum with friends. And made beautiful cherry blossoms together. 65279; ᥿...

Las Ramblings: Time Machine Post #2
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011/07/time-machine-post-2.html
Sunday, July 17, 2011. Time Machine Post #2. So let's take another quick spring break. If you don't mind . . . Snook perfected her Pippa impersonation. There was a never a day she came home from preschool without multi-colored hands. My friend showed me how to make some kick-ass fried rice. The H made some kick-ass guacamole. I showed a lot of people my daughter's rustic-barn sketch. This homemade wedge salad was sinfully good. Bubs took our neighbor's niece to prom. Just kidding. 65279;. Me and my girl.

Las Ramblings: June 2011
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. My local newspaper recently announced that a little shoestore nearby was throwing a party to celebrate these shoes. After checking out the website, I can certainly think of no better reason to party. Aren't these the sweetest, sassiest, summeriest sandals you've seen in a while? Are those red ones for real? Actually, the whole collection is on my not-so-secret wish list. Can anyone vouch? Doesn't 5 seem like a big birthday? Monday, June 20, 2011. What I've Been Up To. It takes u...

Las Ramblings: January 2011
http://lasramblings.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. Worms were only one of the items on my list of parasitical concerns when my bundles decided to cozy up with these communal stuffed animals on this communal Papasan chair at our public library. BLECH! Who thought this was a good idea? But they looked so comfy and bookish and all . . . Monday, January 24, 2011. Looked Better Than it Tasted. I made this little dish for lunch a while back, and it was just shy of scrumptious. I was inspired by Alice. Labels: Alice Q. Foodie. This is ...
