http://cliched-monologues.blogspot.com/2011/03/blade-runner-1982.html
My movie viewing journal since May 2008. Thursday, 3 March 2011. Doesn’t just rank along with. As Ridley Scott’s best film, it also finds place amongst the most influential sci-fi films ever made. Yet, quite interestingly, the film, based on Phillip K. Dick’s. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep. Genre: Thriller/Sci-Fi/Post-Noir/Tech-Noir/Existential Thriller/Detective Film/Romance. I love Blade Runner, so much better to me than Children of men, which tried to imitate the atmosphere. 3 March 2011 at 15:58.

Cinemascope: Bande a Part (Band of Outsiders) [1964]

My movie viewing journal since May 2008. Wednesday, 1 October 2008. Bande a Part (Band of Outsiders) [1964]. Is one of French auteur Jean-Luc Godard’s most accessible films – a film that even non-Godard aficionados would easily enjoy watching. It is often considered as a companion piece of sorts to Godard’s revolutionary first feature A Bout de Souffle (Breathless). Quentin Tarantino paid the ultimate tribute to Godard and this movie by naming his now defunct production company Band Apart. Im often surpr...

My movie viewing journal since May 2008. Tuesday, 28 July 2009. Breaking the Waves [1996]. Wasn’t just one of Danish master (and I daresay, enfant terrible) Lars von Trier’s greatest efforts, it was also one of the pioneering works of the avante-garde school of filmmaking called Dogme 95. 8211; one of the landmark movies of the 90’s – achieved the truly rare feat of being universal and personal at the same time. Director: Lars von Trier. Genre: Drama/Psychological Drama/Religious Drama/Romance/Avant-Garde.

http://armchairc.blogspot.com/2014/10/gone-girl-david-fincher-2014.html
Personal blog of freelance critic Jake Cole, with exclusive content and links to writing around the Web. Friday, October 3, 2014. Gone Girl (David Fincher, 2014). Give David Fincher some credit: he may have cemented his name as the man who converts grim bestsellers into self-consciously removed, “arty” films, but he loads an early shot of. With board games like Mastermind, Sorry! The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Novel suffered from a plurality of half-formed ideas: satire of speculative punditry, hat-tip...
