We’re going on a plant hunt. February 1, 2017. Mrs Needham & Mrs Crichard. The giant pine cone…. Explaining the seed survival game. Some seeds survived the insects, pests and rodents. On on the hunt for mini beasts. Some enjoyed getting VERY muddy! Imagining we are bugs and viewing things through their eyes . Ask us about the ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ song. Even the adults had fun! Making our habitats for the animals we’d chosen. A fantastic day was had by all! January 29, 2017. January 29, 2017.

Maple Class let loose on the School Christmas Tree. December 1, 2016. Mrs Needham & Mrs Crichard. This morning, whilst the rest of KS1 and Reception were out at Roves Farm, Maple Class enjoyed putting up the Christmas tree in the circulation area. There was great excitement at getting it all out the box and unfolding the somewhat bent branches! The baubles led to even more excitement and they were keen to get them hung on the tree as fast as possible! Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window).

Week 3… Friday already? September 23, 2016. Mrs Needham & Mrs Crichard. Another busy week in Maple Class. For their computing unit this week they will be looking at Turtle, and will be controlling its movements by giving it a set of instructions. The children worked in pairs to give each other instructions to get them to different places on the front playground- the listening part posed difficult for some!
