Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day. Monday, December 8, 2014. I saw a picture of you today;. You, in a green plaid shirt. In the company of smiling friends. The joy on your face, the twinkle in your eye. Bright enough to kindle memories. The feel of that shirt under my fingers,. You, warm beneath the fabric;. The scent of your skin and crisp cotton combined,. Stirring me in a way no bottled scent ever will;. The tiny green buttons against the plaid. Giving way to unexpected joy. Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day: April 2012

http://woodchuckwords.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day. Monday, April 23, 2012. Rain falls on the heart,. Falls on the hurt. Clouds, in compassion,. Send what they can -. To soothe the soul. Sunday, April 22, 2012. It is time to stop. I am not answering. You are looking for someone else. What irony that You can't see. This small, simple thing:. There is not a place I go. That the Call does not come through. I could climb to the top of a mountain. Or swim to the bottom of the sea. And some impossibly present cell phone. It will emb...

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Time Does Not Stop. Our summer blows by, curled in a brown leaf. The frost strains to hold it one more day. But the wind is strong and it is gone -. Across the yard, down the empty street -. Time does not stop to wave. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Time Does Not Stop. View my complete profile.

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day: November 2011

http://woodchuckwords.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Spaces Between the Stars. The moon is bright through my window. Casting squares of light on the kitchen floor. The stars hang so close I could touch them. And the wind knocks, loud, on my back door. It's cold in the spaces between the stars,. Dark, cold spaces that used to be warm. I wait for the time that I know is to come. When love fills the spaces between the stars. The moon is old, and slips away. Alone in the cold the stars dance with mirth.

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day: December 2011

http://woodchuckwords.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Woodchuck Words: Poem a Day. Friday, December 16, 2011. Why is it that. On an ordinary afternoon. As I am writing,. For some meeting to be over,. I can hear a bit of a melody. And suddenly you are. There in the conference room. Or on the street corner. A bit of music, and my nostrils fill. With half-forgotten scents -. Smells I cannot quite name. And my heartbeats slow,. As I try to inhale just a bit more. But the memory is out of reach. Only a texture remains. Sometimes, the music. When the music ends.
