April 1, 2013. Wow… we had an EPIC adventure! Our hike started late. Like 4:30 late. Hit the trail and off we went. Andy hikes like he is on a military campaign. We were smoking down the trail. I thought there would be a fire on the trail like the cartoons. The trail was gorgeous and pretty nice for the first 4 miles. The next 3.5 miles was ruff let me tell you. Not even a footpath! So either the bags are bogus or dogs smellers are better then a bears! Thankfully only a bag was harmed. And mommy learned a valuable lesson. March 30, 2013. Here we go…. We are heading out tomorrow for an overnight backpack trip. This will be our first overnighter and a chance to try out new gear before our Grand Canyon trip. I adore Red River Gorge so that was an obvious pick. Andy wanted something challenging and some where we could camp on the trail. Okay dokie.
