I see my Mom twice a year, usually. My heart needed to see her today, the day before Mothers Day. She sacrificed a lot for me when I was little. We ate lunch at the Greenery, at the old Rainbow Gardens, where I used to swim. Now it's mostly the cute restaurant and shops with cutesy things. We ate turkey avocado sandwiches and NO DESSERT! Perfection is a journey, not a destination. As much as I feel overwhelmed or guilty because I never feel like I'm organized enough, good enough, skinny enough, or smart enough, I really do like my life. I love to teach- even if those 10 out of 200 kids aren't living up to their potential no matter how much I try and inspire them. Life-sized Nativity set in front of the Hotel. Loving sisters in paradise. Bryn by a waterfall. I can't even comprehend the man-hours it takes to build, maintain, and decorate this place. RaNae told me she came to Nashville on a layover and had time to tour the hotel. It was one of the highlights of her flying days. Oquirrh Mt. Temple Cornerstone Ceremony. I gained a solid testimony that President Monson is a true prophet of God. I supported him before, of course, but seeing his interaction with sacred things and children, I realized he truly has been called of God. Why do children grow up so fast and not want to snuggle like they once used to? Why can't a parent when they have given everything to show their love for their children still feel like the child doesn't see it? Why do boys have to leave for a wonderful mission to still have their mother long each and every day to hold her son again?

I am so excited, my family gave me a copier/scanner/printer for my birthday and it is great because I can actually post pictures of my older kids. Yeah! Today is my son, Todd's 18th birthday. I can't believe it. Todd is so awesome. This picture is one of my favorite pictures of him. Isn't he adorable? This is one of his baby pictures. He was such a delight as a baby and still is. The Kooky Queen- Rachel. Thats so awesome, what an accomplishment!
