New york - woodstock - road trip. It was beautiful yesterday, 75 degrees kinda beautiful, with bright blue skies so my sister, cousins and I decided to venture up to Woodstock. NY for the day. By the time we got up there we were all hungry so we stopped for lunch at Bread Alone. Before walking around town. The place we had originally planned to eat at was closed, but it worked out that it was because Bread Alone was amazing! I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in Woodstock. September 7, 2014. If you're coming up early, there are lots of things to do in the area. If you're into US Presidential history, Hyde Park. Isn't too far. Lots of New Yorkers head to Beacon. To get out of the city, and there is plenty to do in Woodstock. Or, you can just take a hike. We can, however, recommend several places to eat in the Hurley/Kingston/Woodstock area. This list is by no means exhaustive - there are a lot of great food options in the Hudson Valley. Let us know what you find!
