Woodhaven Ramblings: THE FAIR 2015 ~ Day 6
http://toniatwoodhaven.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-fair-2015-day-6.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. THE FAIR 2015 Day 6. Wow, we are past the half-way mark with the Fair. It seems seconds and years at the same time. Weird how so many things are like that. Today was the day that my llamas buddies and their humans arrived at the Fair! Seeing Rojo and Smokey and Lori and Dave and Shannon and Reese made the Llama Greenway finally feel like home. And home it shall be for the rest of the Fair, as I seem to naturally gravitate there when I’m not hungry. Llovely llamas meeting friends.

July 28, 2016 · 7:30 am. Home and cayucos in Shark Hole, Panama. Project is unique because we work in many countries, most of which have different climates, languages and cultures within themselves. Every project has its own set of challenges, whether it is difficult soil conditions, limited material or uncooperative weather, to name a few. One location I checked a few times during this last trip was the pipeline constructed back in 2015. You can read about the construction in this post- Pipeline. And Si...

The adventures of seven thompsons. Friday, September 21, 2012. I really want to write a new post, but that doesn't put any words on the page does it? Would I really rather not write than fail at writing? 160;The only real way to fail is to not write. What do you write when your not ready to write? 160; Easy words, strung together, into semi coherent thoughts. Let's see how that works out for us . So here it goes. I am holding fast. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. When I say 'planning' I mean we are doing ...

Woodhaven Ramblings: THE FAIR 2015! ~ Day 9
http://toniatwoodhaven.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-fair-2015-day-9.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. As we were leaving the Fairgrounds tonight, a little boy asked his mom what time it was. 8220;Oh, it’s late! It’s about 9:30.” And here I was feeling old and guilty for leaving so early. The Fair closes at 11:00 tonight but I just don’t have it in me to stay that long, especially with an early church morning tomorrow and then a full day stalking the incoming new Fair Court. I definitely need to be rested up for that. I tried very hard to hold it together until I was out of earshot.

Woodhaven Ramblings: THE FAIR 2015 ~ Day 7
http://toniatwoodhaven.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-fair-2015-day-7.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. THE FAIR 2015 Day 7. Today started out with laundry and emails and a reminder that the electrician is coming tomorrow morning. Oh joy. As much as I try to ignore real life during the Fair, it has a way of sneaking in when I am distracted by corn dog earrings. Blah. The one on the left is half-eaten. And no, I didn't eat it. It came that way. Just when we were starting to wonder if a more pressing engagement had pre-empted us, They arrived. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? With the Fair Court ...

Woodhaven Ramblings: THE FAIR 2015 ~ Day 8
http://toniatwoodhaven.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-fair-2015-day-8.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. THE FAIR 2015 Day 8. We had to set an alarm this morning because the electrician was coming to reinstall some lighting in our cabinetry. Imagine my surprise when the first thing I heard on the radio were the words “Clark County Fair.” Although the station was running a contest and giving away free tickets to the Fair, my first thought was “The Fair - it’s EVERYWHERE! Rain, glorious rain. Everyone was so happy! The sign will advertise sunscreen tomorrow. Teenagers are so fun!
